Ex-Macquarie Bank head joins Pendium Advisory
The rent roll broker and valuation firm has welcomed a multifaceted associate director into its ranks.
Stuart Hobden, who was most recently the state segment head of Macquarie Bank, has joined Pendium’s Sydney office in the role of associate director – NSW.
The firm reported that the expansion of the Sydney team to include Hobden is a “natural, next step”, with the group having advised, valued and brokered nearly 90 engagements in the state. Across the country, the group has worked on almost $1 billion worth of managements.
Hobden brings 35 years of industry experience into the role, from a start as a finance broker in stints with LJ Hooker and Ray White, to eventually moving into his stint at Macquarie Bank, where he was the NSW state segment head.
According to Pendium Advisory, which has lauded the experience Hobden brings into the firm, it’s also “his commitment to his clients that defines his character and has made him the perfect candidate” to assume the role.
That goal? To innovate the real estate industry and cater to the evolving needs of real estate businesses, said Sinclair.
“Stuart brings with him a wealth of knowledge on the Sydney real estate industry, and a legacy of rent roll funding deals, currently lacking in the sector.”
Stressing the belief that “selling the work of a lifetime shouldn’t take a lifetime to sell”, Sinclair said bringing Hobden on board reflected that commitment.
